Master Class #89: PR Writing - Keep It Simple

What many assume makes good writing:

  • Lengthy
  • Complex
  • Packed with metaphors and similes
  • Poetic or literary

Sure, it can be. But strong writing is just as often:

  • Clear and concise
  • Well-structured
  • Simple to follow
  • Practical and relatable

You don’t have to channel Shakespeare to write well. Especially in PR, the easier your writing is to understand, the more people you'll be able to reach.

So save the dense language for a short story. For PR, keep it simple.
