Nothing, because a PR person has no sense of humor.

Folks, we need to change that type of thinking. PR pros need to be clever, funny and, dare we say, irreverent. (No, we did not say "irrelevant")

The PR industry is always changing, and the best ones in our industry know how to use humor to sell a product, service or idea.

So, pal, loosen that tie a little. Crinkle that starch. Maybe enjoy a sip or two of your favorite spirit before you begin writing. Whatever you do, don't take yourself so darn seriously. We may think our work is life or death. But, after a reality check, it isn't.

PR is the art of connecting to the masses. So, think like the masses, Enjoy the masses. BE the masses.

And that begins with throwing some humor into the mix.
