Anyone who is any good at PR knows the importance of being bold. Does your client or boss have a bonehead idea? Let them know, politely of course. And don't just focus on what is wrong with all their craziness. Rather, explain the problem and ALWAYS suggest another route. The best PR people not only identify the problems, but make sure the conversation does not end without a plan to move forward.
So, yes, be bold. Be brave. Be a resource.
Don't just blindly go along a route of certain failure with all the other sheep. By speaking up, and using your experience to redirect the strategy, you will become an even more trusted asset for your team. And - more than anything - people will know you care.
